Galler has a supreme sense of line and movement and all the technique of hands and collaborators to bring refined vision to sublime fulfillment. The sonic quality (recorded in the Beethoven-Saal, Vienna-Heiligenstadt) does full justice to the buoyancy and intelligence of the playing. The collaborating players and instruments (cembalo after Stehlin, contrabasso, Viennese oboe and portative organ for the Boeddecker) are full equals. Each piece is, for me, a revelation of artistry and good taste.
